Using two wonderful books by Susan Neiman, and classical texts—the Bible and the Gita — retreatants will explore the mystery of “Theism and Tragic Knowledge.” The philosophies of other thinkers will also be explored, e.g. St. Augustine, Rabintranath Tagore, Ken Wilber and Harold Kushner. We do not seek ‘the answer;’ we seek to live the mystery of goodness and God in the midst of a beautiful, yet broken world.
