Pathways
is a school of spirituality that studies Sacred Scripture
and Sacred Traditions, using the art and science of hermeneutics.
Hermeneutics can be understood as the discipline of understanding
the rhetoric and theology of a text so as to attain personal
and communal freedom. The Basis of Pathways is always the
Holy Bible. This year the members of Pathways will study
the Old Testament: Law, Prophets, Writing & Deuterocanonical;
New Testament: Paul, the Synoptics, John & Revelation.
The
goal of Pathways is to create an environment where Christians
today can explore Scripture, deepen spirituality and creatively
respond as God’s presence of love in the world.
Now, the Lord is the Spirit,
And where the Spirit of the Lord is
There is Freedom
2 Corinthians 3:17
