Finding Your Hidden Treasure
Centering Prayer Silent Retreat
October 15-21, 2012
Facilitator: Fr. Bill Sheehan OMI
Meister Eckhart, the 14th century Christian mystic, taught
“You need not seek Him out there, He is no further than the
door of your heart; there He stands patiently awaiting whoever
is ready to open up and let Him in. No need to call Him from
afar. He can hardly wait for you to open up. He longs for you a
thousand times more than you long for Him.”
In response to Meister Eckhart’s encouragement, we will spend these days in silence that will include periods of centering prayer and daily conferences on the spiritual journey, paying attention to some of the insights developed by Fr. Martin Laird’s recent books, “Into the Silent Land” and “A Sunlit Absence.”
This is a silent retreat
