Centering Prayer Silent Retreat

Meister Eckhart, the 14th century Christian mystic, taught “You need not seek Him out there, He is no further than the door of your heart; there He stands patiently awaiting whoever is ready to open up and let Him in. No need to call Him from afar. He can hardly wait for you to open up. He longs for you a thousand times more than you long for Him.”

In response to Meister Eckhart’s encouragement, we will spend these days in silence that will include periods of centering prayer and daily conferences on the spiritual journey, paying attention to some of the insights developed by Fr. Martin Laird’s recent books, “Into the Silent Land” and “A Sunlit Absence.”

You may choose to join us for all or part of these days of exploring the practice of Centering Prayer:

OPTION 1: October 15-18, 2012 Centering Prayer (Teaching & Retreat) Check-in Monday, October 15th from 3:00 to 6:00pm; Dinner @ 6:15pm; ends Thursday, October 18th after lunch. Cost: $250.00 ($75 non-refundable deposit required) OPTION 2: October 15-21, 2012 Full Centering Prayer Retreat (Going Deeper) Check-in Monday, October 15th from 3:00 to 6:00pm; Dinner @ 6:15pm; ends Sunday, October 21st after lunch. Cost: $420.00 ($75 non-refundable deposit required)
