the Spiritual Exercises
of St. Ignatius
October 2010 - May 2011
RETREAT DIRECTORS:
Our retreat directors have been formally
trained in the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises.
Each has served in leadership and training in
the ministry of spiritual direction with special
emphasis on Ignatian spirituality.
This “long retreat” is designed for those who are unable to take a month away for the thirty-day retreat.
The length of this retreat allows time for
reflection and integration as indicated in the
following format:
•A discernment interview, which will be arranged after receipt of completed
application.
• Thirty sessions of contemplative prayer in an atmosphere of solitude, beauty, and quiet. Includes 4 full days and one
overnight.
• Nine individual spiritual direction sessions. Two group spiritual direction sessions at each weekly meeting.
• All materials will be provided..
St. Ignatius taught a way of prayer that calls
forth all faculties of mind, will, imagination,
heart, and the senses. With an emphasis on
prayer, group and individual spiritual
direction, the exercises are designed for those
feeling a personal desire for a deeper relationship
with Jesus and commitment to their own
spiritual journey.
Retreat is limited to 18 participants to be selected through an interview process.
