FAQS REGARDING DONATIONS TO MERCY CENTER
Q: Does Mercy Center Auburn need donations?
A: Yes! Looking at current retreat center trends, you will notice that financial strain is forcing centers across the USA to close. Although our retreat center is visited by many guests and groups, our annual revenue does not cover operating costs. As we seek sustainability and longevity, we need much more donor support!
Q: Where do I send my donations?
A: Your donation can be sent to our Mercy Center Office in Auburn, California, or the Mission Advancement Office in Omaha, Nebraska. Why is this? To save money, we use the Sisters of Mercy’s Mission Advancement Office, which is located in Omaha.
Q: What percentage of my donations stay at Mercy Center?
A: 100% of all donations stay at Mercy Center! This includes online, cash and check donations that are processed at our Omaha. Erroneous information has many believing that donations sent to Omaha do not return to Mercy Center; if you have heard this, it is untrue.
Q: How can I give to Mercy Center?
A: You may make your gift online on our website by using your credit or debit card or mail your check made payable to the Sisters of Mercy (write “Mercy Center” in MEMO line) to 535 Sacramento St, Auburn, CA 95603. You may also include Mercy Center in your bequests, beneficiary designations, IRA distributions, stock gifts and donor-advised funds. We are happy to assist you if you need guidance.
Q: Do you have donation envelopes?
A: Yes! Mercy Center Donation Envelopes are found by our flyer wall, in our gift shop, and at the Center’s Office. Contact us if you wish us to send you a few envelopes to your mailing address.
