We are a spiritual prayer support group that embraces, honors, and accompanies all touched by cancer.
You are welcome, whatever cancer journey you are on––past or present––as patient, loved-one, or caregiver.
This is a safe place to share and be held, whatever you are going through.
We check in and listen respectfully. We hold one another in trust, hope, and love. We honor confidentiality.
Our 60-minute sessions meet via Zoom at 10am Pacific time on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month.
Meet Our Facilitators
Gwojen Fung
Gwojen Fung began her journey at Mercy Center in the 1980s by studying meditation with Fr. Tom Hand in Burlingame, CA. In the 2010s, she joined Sr. Janet Chau and the team to facilitate retreats and workshops for the Chinese Ministry. She earned a certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Mercy Center Burlingame, Art and Practice Spiritual Direction Program. Her areas of interest include facilitating Centering Prayer groups, taking pilgrimages and cultivating an ever-deepening awareness of God’s presence.
Robin Mayforth
Robin Mayforth is a Spiritual Director, a longtime Centering Prayer practitioner and is active in the Wisdom community. She facilitates lectio divina circles and especially enjoys working with small groups and offering one-on-one sessions.
A professional violinist in the Bay Area, she held the Concertmaster position of Symphony San Jose for over 25 years and was a member of the New Century Chamber Orchestra.
Robin now brings her love of music to her spiritual ministry in more intimate settings.

Sharon Lee Song works in Member Care for a ministry that serves the urban poor. Inspired by her own transformation through self-care, soul care, and spiritual formation, Sharon became a yoga instructor, and a spiritual director. She’s committed to using what she’s learned from her training and experience to provide support to all in living healthy, sustainable spiritual lives.
