East-West Meditation
At Mercy Center Auburn, our East-West meditation paradigm invites you to taste Christian scriptures, the writings of Christian mystics, Buddhist scriptures, the teachings of ancient and contemporary Zen masters, as well as teachings from other spiritual traditions, with the aim of uncovering the veils of worldly conditioning that obscure our clear vision of what truly is and who we truly are. In the silent meditation practice, known as zazen, there is the opportunity to hear and experience the voice that speaks deep within us and connects us with reality. What you’ll find is not an allegorical teaching or another dogma to believe, but instead, an inner unshakeable truth. All are welcome.
Every Wednesday night, beginning at 7 pm, we offer online meditation, an online Dharma talk, group sharing, and metta (lovingkindness) practice, led by one of our 3 teachers, Sr. Judy Cannon, RSM; Margaret Gainer; and Frank Muennemann, on a rotating basis.
Meeting reminders and Zoom links will be emailed to those who have signed up for the East-West mailing list.
