Ongoing
Oasis Days - First Tuesdays of the Month
These will be quiet days of contemplative reflection. Each day will begin with an introduction and a prayerful invitation into the theme, followed by time for solitude, journaling, and other prayer practices, and sharing insights.
Sacred Circle - 2nd Tuesdays of the Month
Sacred Circle is a contemplative listening experience, which means it is about holy listening. Trained facilitators will guide you through a structured sharing format that creates the opportunity for deep listening and a respect for each person’s sacred story. Each Sacred Circle is a stand-alone session and new participants are always welcome.
Pathways - 1st or 2nd Saturdays of the Month
Pathways is an exploration of Spirit, by studying classical and modern texts, and applying this teachings and practices to everyday life. This year we will be reading and studying Raimon Panikkar, Ken Wilber, Hannah Arendt, Simone de Beauvoir, Ayn Rand and Simone Weil and building a bridge between the Holy Bible and Ch’an Buddhism.
Centering Prayer - Wednesday Mornings at 9:30am & Thursday Evenings at 6:30pm
Centering Prayer is a gentle, silent method of consenting to God’s presence and healing action within us. Based on rich Christian contemplative heritage, Centering Prayer offers us a way to be open to God. By taking time to “rest in God” each day, we open our awareness to the gift of God’s presence.
Upcoming
Beguiled by Beauty
During our time together, we will explore beauty as a threshold to the divine and to the deepening of compassion and joy. Beauty allows us to behold the sacred worth of all beings in nature, the arts, and the faces of others. Cultivating the practice of beauty opens us to a deeply joyful way of embracing the loveliness and sorrows of life. We will have time for discussion, small group conversations, meditation, quiet, and creativity – and for savoring the beauty of a life of faith.
Praying Your Life
God speaks to us in diverse ways, revealing the depths of love to us. This weekend of prayer and reflection focuses upon the revelation of God coming to us through the fabric of our own lives. Just as seekers listen to God through Lectio Divina, seekers can also explore the shape of God’s desire through reflecting upon the events, experiences and relationships which have shaped and are shaping their lives in the present.
