Seeing the Silence within the Word
Take a few days’ retreat from your daily routine and come share with us the sacred silence at beautiful Mercy Center, Auburn. During this intensive retreat, you will sit in silent meditation (zazen) within your own inner space and with like-minded others. You will be able to hear the voice that speaks within you and connects you with all that is.

Check-in: Sunday, from 3:00-5:00pm
Retreat Begins: 5:00 pm, followed by dinner at 5:15pm
Ends: Friday at 1:00pm
Resident Cost: $890, includes the program, meals, and lodging
Commuter Cost: $765, includes the program and meals

About the Facilitator
Nona Strong
Nona first attended a contemplative retreat with Fr. Greg Mayers in 1993 and began Zen koan studies in 1996. In 1999, Nona went to Würzburg, Germany for six weeks’ study with Willigis Jaeger, OSB, Fr. Greg’s own teacher. In 2019, she received transmission and now teaches in the Empty Cloud lineage.

We are nestled in the Sierra foothills of Northern California, just minutes from historic downtown Auburn and easily accessible from Sacramento, the Bay Area, and the surrounding region.

People coming from the Bay Area can take the Capital Corridor AMTRAK train to Sacramento's Valley Station or the Auburn station. From there, you can an Uber/Lift to the retreat center.
BY PLANE:
The Sacramento International Airport is the closest. From there, you can take an Uber/Lift to the retreat center.
