Finding Christ in Our Midst

  • Mercy Center Auburn 535 Sacramento Street Auburn, California, 95603 United States (map)

Step away from your ordinary life and refresh your spirit.

In a world filled with increasing chaos and division, it's easy to become discouraged — to lose sight of where God is present and how close Christ remains. This retreat is an invitation to slow down, look more carefully, and rediscover the many places where Christ can be found: in scripture, in silence, in one another, and in the ordinary moments of our lives.

Over the course of a weekend, we'll explore what it means to recognize Christ in our midst — not only in the sacred and the extraordinary, but woven throughout the fabric of everyday experience.

What to Expect

This is a participatory retreat, designed to engage heart, mind, and spirit. The weekend will include:

  • Presentations by the facilitator drawing on scripture, theology, and lived experience

  • Recorded music woven throughout to deepen reflection

  • Group discussion that invites honest, supportive sharing

  • Personal reflection time for silence and prayer

  • A creative activity to help bring the retreat's themes to life

Whether you come seeking renewal, clarity, or simply a few days of genuine rest, you'll be met exactly where you are.

Who Should Attend

This retreat is ideal for anyone longing to step out of the busyness of daily life and into something more connected to faith, community, and the quiet presence of God. No prior retreat experience is required. Come as you are.
