About the Facilitators
Alice Jacobs Vestergaard, Ed.D, MBA, MS, MA, MCHES, is an internationally recognized author, teacher, and practitioner with long tenure working in healthcare, and clinician training in academic institutions. She is a certified Caritas Coach through the Watson Caring Science Institute, and recipient of the ACNL Friend of Nursing Award.
Nancy Symons, MDiv, MA, has served as a pastor and palliative care chaplain, and most recently as faculty n the College of Nursing at Samuel Merritt University - where she taught evidence-based tools to help clinicians navigate the emotional demands of nursing. She has also designed and taught specialty workshops.
